Although the Morar Hotel is situated in a very rural and isolated part of Scotland, there are a number of flexible travel options available to our guests.
Our nearest Airports are Glasgow or Inverness and there is a local company offering an airport Taxi service (please contact us for their details) or from Glasgow only Glasgow Millennium Cars operates an airport taxi service to any destination in Scotland
Take the train to the small but perfectly formed Morar Station (opposite the hotel) direct from Glasgow Queen Street or Fort William Station. A regular year round service is provided by First Scotrail.
During the Summer months, from Monday to Friday, the Jacobite Steam Train runs between Fort William and Mallaig (our own Courtesy car would be only too happy to collect guests from Mallaig station by prior arrangement).
Citylink runs a regular bus service to and from Glasgow and Inverness all year round terminating in Fort William, where travelers can either take the train the rest of the journey or take the local Sheil bus service direct to Morar, Monday to Friday only.

Ferries from the Isle of Skye, for those on a round trip of the Highlands, operate year-round with extra services during the Summer months
Driving is perhaps the most convenient and flexible way of touring the Highlands of Scotland and there are a number of popular routes through famous glens and past celebrated landmarks. The AA route planner can help plan any special trails you might wish to see.
